Sacmi Roller Kiln for Roofing Tiles in Mexico

A major Mexican order for Sacmi Heavy Clay/IT already installed and running is an innovative 120-m long, 2,890 m wide roller kiln that will allow El Aguila/MX to boost daily output by 60000 pieces. More specifically, passing through the new kiln will be Portuguese roofing tiles at an annual production rate that El Aguila estimates to be in the order of 20 million pieces. The new kiln and automatic robot-assisted palletizing line – also supplied by Sacmi – will be added to the existing plant, the only one in the world currently making extruded, re-pressed Portuguese tiles that exploit the advantages of both fast drying technology and firing in roller kilns without refractory holders (10/2011).
