Informations
KELLER HCW is a worldwide operating plant and machine constructor for the ceramics and building material industry. The company with headquarters in Ibbenbüren-Laggenbeck has been ranking among the leading specialists in this field for over 115 years and today is the only manufacturer in the world realizing the complete machinery and plant technology from the quarry up to the ready packed product in own production.
KELLER HCW furthermore stands for intelligent solutions in automation and measurement and control technology as well as highly precise skiving machines for PE and PTFE.
KELLER HCW plans and realizes machines and plants for the production of all kinds of bricks and paving clinkers. As a competent partner, KELLER HCW takes over the engineering and project management as well as the project handling, assembly, commissioning and after-sales service. Since the end of the year 2006, KELLER HCW has been part of the French group Legris Industries. KELLER HCW’s strategic partners in the field of the heavy clay industry are the German companies novoceric (Mellrichstadt) and Rieter (Constance) as well as the Italian company morando (Asti).
In 1894 Carl Keller presented the result of his design work: the first finger car for brickworks. The founder of the firm, the passionately keen inventor with a thorough knowledge of business – still a rare combination at that time – made sure his first successful design was followed up by many others. So he presented the KELLER fully automatic machine, the "Hörstel Model", in 1910 with which he gained a reputation beyond the German frontiers. This equipment enabled the cutting and simultaneous setting of the green bricks on the supporting laths or pallets.
When Carl Keller died in 1932, despite the difficult years then shaken by crises, he left behind a solid foundation on which his successors could develop a secure future. Today more than 1200 plants delivered from firms of the Division Keller are operated worldwide.
Until today, KELLER HCW has been sticking to the principles of its founding father and most consistently develops plants and machinery according to the motto "Tradition is Innovation". This is one of the reasons why KELLER HCW has until today been able to sustain and strengthen its position as technological market leader.
