Tecna Returns to Rimini

Thursday, September 22, 2022

The Rimini Expo Centre/IT is ready to reopen its doors for TECNA, the pre-eminent international exhibition of surface technologies and supplies organised by the Italian Exhibition Group in cooperation with ACIMAC. From Tuesday, 27 to Friday, 30 September 2022, the Rimini Expo Centre will host a new trade fair that carries on the legacy of Tecnargilla (attended by 35 000 visitors at the last edition held in 2018) with a new exhibition format and a raft of new features. The show will as usual focus on the latest innovations, with previews of technological, aesthetic and design trends as well as news and insights into the most recent developments in industrial production. The top Italian and international companies will showcase their latest solutions in a 70 000 m2 exhibition space.

Returning to Rimini in person after a 4-year hiatus, the Italian exhibitors are ready to show off their latest innovations in the field of ceramic machinery, components and supplies to buyers from all over the world. Thanks to collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency ITA, visitors from more than 80 countries (including Latin America, the MENA region, USA, Iran and India) have already expressed an interest in entering into and consolidating partnerships with exhibitors at TECNA. Another eagerly awaited event is the Africa Forum, which will take place at 10.30 am on Thursday, 29 September, in the Future Arena. The Forum will be held in English and will include a series of business workshops for buyers from West Africa. Large numbers of non-Italian exhibitors will also be present (30 % of the total), mainly from Spain, Turkey, Germany, China, Portugal, France, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Greece and USA.

Amongst the show's highlights are its three exhibition itineraries. The first is TECNA Future Lab, a new thematic area that aims to bring together the latest innovations and trends in the field of Industry 4.0 and to ensure continuity with the process of innovation undertaken by the manufacturing industry. This special section will explore the process of evolution through the themes of Industrial IoT (Internet of Things), Artificial Intelligence, Additive Manufacturing, Cyber Security and Servitization, and will also feature an area devoted to start-ups. Two other areas that are sure to attract the interest of buyers are Decortech and Finishing, the first devoted to surface decoration and the second to finishing technologies and treatments.

TECNA's programme of events will focus on sustainability and R&D. The technology conference entitled "Sustainability in Ceramics" will address one of the trend topics for both the ceramic and the ceramic machinery industries, which are redefining their processes and objectives in the light of the current international geopolitical context and soaring energy costs.

The TecnAwards 2022 are an entirely new feature this year and will be presented on Tuesday, 27 September. These awards will honour outstanding technological investments made by international customers in the period 2020–2022 and will underscore TECNA's role as a bridge between the world of supplies and the ceramic industry.

"TECNA will host a series of events and new contents that will determine its future evolution and help to reinforce its role as a global point of reference in terms of technology and innovation. The range of offerings will be even more comprehensive with the aim of truly explaining "how to make it" – to quote the exhibition's slogan – and providing concrete solutions to industry players and professionals as part of an increasingly international approach to business. The entire Italian industry is ready to return to what we consider to be our very own exhibition," said ACIMAC Chairman Paolo Lamberti.

ACIMAC will also be back at TECNA with an approximately 250-m2 space close to the East Hall entrance featuring dedicated areas for all its business units. There will be an institutional booth available to all members for assistance, support and information which will present the wide range of services and activities offered by the association. The space will also host the booths of the publishing house TILE, whose publications are a point of reference for the sector, and of ACIMAC's training centre SBS – Scuola Beni Strumentali, which will provide information on all the new training courses available on topics ranging from human resources to administration, finance and marketing. It will also feature the booth devoted to Intono, the communication agency owned by ACIMAC which will publish a continuous stream of multimedia content relating to the exhibition.
