Euro PM2027 Congress & Exhibition Will Be Renamed Euro AM/PM
The European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA) has announced that its annual Euro PM congress will be renamed Euro AM/PM (Additive Manufacturing and Powder Metallurgy) from 2027. The first event under the new name will take place in Florence, Italy, from October 10–13, 2027. The change is said to reflect the growing proportion of Additive Manufacturing papers submitted to the congress, which now account for more than half of all submissions. EPMA states that the event will retain its focus on metallurgy and materials science. Adeline Riou, EPMA President, stated, “I am very happy to announce the renaming of the annual EPMA Congress which reflects the increasing share of AM in the activities of EPMA.”
The Euro PM2027 Congress & Exhibition, organised by the European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA), will take place in Florence/IT, from 10–13 October 2027 at Firenze Fiera. Euro PM2027 will bring together the international powder metallurgy community for four days of technical exchange, innovation and networking. The congress will feature a high-quality technical programme alongside a 3000 m² exhibition, showcasing the latest technologies, products and innovations from across the global powder metallurgy supply chain.
In addition to the technical programme, participants will have the opportunity to attend a Welcome Reception, Congress Dinner and other social events, providing valuable opportunities to meet colleagues, exchange ideas and develop new professional connections in a relaxed and welcoming environment. As one of Europe’s leading events in the field of powder metallurgy, Euro PM2027 is expected to attract industry leaders, decision-makers, researchers, academics and professionals from across the entire PM supply chain.
Technical Programme
More than 200 oral and poster presentations will showcase the latest developments, research and industrial applications in powder metallurgy. The programme will cover the full spectrum of PM technologies, materials and applications, including:
- Powders: Production, characterisation, properties and other powder-related topics
- AM Consolidation Technologies: Compaction and sintering, MIM, HIP, FAST, additive manufacturing using beam- and sinter-based technologies, powder deposition and other processing technologies
- Materials: Ferrous and non-ferrous materials, light and high-temperature materials, functional materials, hardmetals, cermets, ultrahard materials and other PM materials
- Applications: Biomedical, aerospace, automotive, energy, tooling and other industrial applications
- Tools for Advancing PM: Testing and evaluation, secondary operations, design and modelling, sustainability and life cycle analysis, health and safety, digitalisation and other enabling technologies.
Exhibition
The Euro PM2027 Exhibition, open from Monday to Wednesday, will showcase the complete powder metallurgy supply chain. Exhibitors will include raw material suppliers, powder producers, furnace and equipment manufacturers, tooling specialists and many other companies offering technologies and services to the PM industry. Located adjacent to the technical sessions, the exhibition will provide an ideal environment for business meetings, technical discussions and networking. Coffee points, lunch facilities and dedicated poster presentation areas will further encourage interaction between exhibitors, speakers and delegates throughout the congress.
