16th Expoanicer and 42nd National Meeting of the Heavy Clay Industry
The 42nd National Meeting of the Heavy Clay Industry and the 16th Expoanicer, to be held in the city of Recife, State of Pernambuco, Brazil, from 25–28 October 2013, were officially launched in early April, on the headquarters of Federação das Indústrias do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (Federation of Industries of the State of Rio de Janeiro – Firjan).
With the purpose of promoting the debate among businessmen, researchers, public and private institutions, Brazilian and international organizations and consumers, the event has a busy schedule divided into technology seminars, forums and technical visits. The 16th Expoanicer – Exposition of Machinery, Equipment, Products, Services and Inputs for the Heavy Clay Industry, held during the National Meeting, is already considered the segment’s biggest fair in Latin America. Last year alone, Expoanicer had the presence of 81 Brazilian brands and 18 international brands, from Italy, Greece, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Colombia, Germany, United States, China and France. During the National Meeting two awarding ceremonies initiated by Anicer will be held: the Young Ceramist Award, supported by the Associaçao Brasileira de Ceramica (Brazilian Association of Ceramics), and the João-de-Barro Award. The Young Ceramist Award has the purpose of promoting reflection and research, in addition to revealing and investing on young talents looking for alternatives to solve the Brazilian heavy clay industry issues. The João-de-Barro Award is given every year to the areas Best Booth, Personality, Best Supplier, Best Institution, and Best Ceramics. (7/2013)
