2nd EPMA Short Course Planned for 2013

The EPMA has organised a 2nd Short Course on PM Sintering following on from the successful PM Sintering – Fundamentals and Mass production, which focused mainly on large scale materials and applications.

The Short Course is scheduled to take place on the 24–26 March 2013 in Vienna/AT. PM Sintering – Advanced Processes and Materials will provide an excellent learning opportunity for engineers and scientists with an interest in the sintering process. Thanks to the unique combination of high level industrial specialists and academics from across Europe this course will provide unrivalled insights into the practical
capabilities and applications of sintering technology as applied to the powder metallurgy (PM) process. The two-day course covering Advanced Processes and Materials will include individual aspects of the process starting from sintering concepts through to practical considerations, mainly for batch scale mater-ials and applications. The course will also feature lectures on the sintering atmospheres, process variation and new developments in furnace technology. At the end of the Short Course an Open Forum will discuss case studies and problem solving with a panel of international PM experts. Places are limited, so booking early is advisable for this intense short course, with EPMA Member discounts available. Further information and programme details: www.epma.com/shortcourse. (12/2012)
