5th International Conference on Shaping of Advanced Ceramics

The 5th International Conference on Shaping of Advanced Ceramics, Shaping 5, will be held in Mons, Belgium, on 29–31 January 2013.

The conference is organised by the Belgian Ceramic Research Centre (BCRC), member of the Environment and Materials Research Association (EMRA) with the collaboration of the University of Mons and under the auspices of the Belgian Ceramic Society (BCerS) and the European Ceramic Society (ECerS) and with the support of the Trust of the Journal of the European Ceramic Society. The scientific programme will consist of a number of invited plenary lectures and other oral presentations, as well as poster sessions with discussion. The manufacture of advanced ceramics with any applications will be considered, since all of them share identical issues and problems with regard to shaping processes. Special attention will be given to the relationships between shaping and micro- and nanostructure, and to the production of multimaterials and/or multifunctional systems.
