BMR Wins Major Orders in Italy

The Scandiano-based Italian company BMR has sold a number of new plants to Florim Group, Marazzi Group, Emilceramica and Ceramica Fondovalle.

Florim Group, one of the top ten ceramic tile manufacturers based in Fiorano Modenese, will install a complete lapping/cutting and squaring line for the production of new large format tiles to be presented at the forthcoming Cersaie, as well as a cutting and squaring line for Florim USA, the first of this type for the American branch. This brings to eleven the number of complete BMR lines installed by Florim Group since 2005. BMR has also secured major supply contracts with Marazzi Group. By the end of the year, a second cutting and squaring line will come into operation at the Fiorano factory, while the Marazzi Rivestimenti division in Sassuolo will start up the first Squadra Dry line, an innovative dry squaring system that does not require the use of water and is therefore more environmentally friendly. These latest supplies bring to 6 the number of complete BMR lines installed by Marazzi Group (10/2011).
