EPMA Launches 2017 Powder Metallurgy Thesis Competition

The European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA) will launch the 2017 Powder Metallurgy Thesis Competition at both Diploma (Masters) and Doctorate (PhD) levels.

The competition is now an annual competition, as before 2016 it was organised on a biennial basis. The competition is open to all applicants who have graduated from a European university and who have had their theses approved during the 2014/2015, 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 academic years. The subject must be classified under the topic Powder Metallurgy. The prizes, sponsored by Höganäs AB/SE, will be presented at the Opening Plenary session of Euro PM2017 Congress and Exhibition in Milan/IT in October 2017. Winners will each receive a cheque for EUR 750 in the Diploma Category and EUR 1000 for the Doctorate category, with the opportunity of having their work published in the prestigious journal Powder Metallurgy and free registration to the PM2017 Congress and Exhibition in Italy. Thesis submission deadline is 26 April 2017.
