FZ Jülich – Hosting the 95th DKG Annual Meeting KERAMIK/CERAMICS 2020

From 15 to 18 March 2020, the KERAMIK/CERAMICS 2020 – 95th Annual Meeting of the German Ceramic Society (DKG) will be held at Forschungszentrum Jülich (FZ Jülich). France is the conference part-ner for this meeting.

With more than 6000 employees, FZ Jülich/DE, established in 1956, is one of the largest research centres in Europe for energy, environment, bioeconomy, information technology and brain research. With interdisciplinary research, FZ Jülich develops sustainable solutions for complex and pressing issues in society. Ceramic materials are of key significance here and representative as Hidden Champions for the technologies of the energy transition.
Chairman of the Programme Committee for the meeting is Prof. Dr Olivier Guillon (OG), Director of the Institute for Energy and Climate Research (IEK-1) for Materials Synthesis and Processing at FZ Jülich. He agreed to give us an insight into the work of the IEK-1.
