Italian Ceramics Technology Award 2014

Three students from the Mexican university Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León visited Italy from 29 June to 6 July for a training focusing on Italian technology.

The Mexican students were proclaimed winners of the Italian Ceramics Technology Award which was organised by the ICE-Agenzia in collaboration with ACIMAC. The winners submitted the best research theses on technological innovations applied to ceramic manufacturing. Similarly to the previous editions, the objective of the initiative is to raise the awareness of engineering students from important foreign universities in respect to Italian ceramic manufacturing technology. The idea is to encourage those students destined to fill managerial roles, specifically in Mexican ceramic companies, to gain first-hand knowledge about the Italian ceramic manufacturing technologies. The students visited in the Modena area the companies LB Officine Meccaniche, CAMI, SITI B&T Group, Ancora, System and SACMI.
