Marcheluzzo Gets Stronger in Europe

Positive trend for Marcheluzzo S.p.A./IT also in 2021. Due to the conquest of new European and international markets and adoption of further innovative solutions, the Vicenza-based company was able to confirm its position among the leading companies in plant engineering and automation of bricks production.

In line with its corporate philosophy, Marcheluzzo was able to combine innovative solutions and cutting-edge supplies with customer needs, reconfirming the trust relationship which has already been established for longer time with its customers. Among the main projects launched and tested over the course of the last year, it is worth mentioning the project at one of the major bricks-manufacturing companies in Kosovo: Rizam Holding. This new customer already wanted to test the efficiency and capabilities of the Italian plant supplier a year earlier, by installing a new robot with gripper and programming bench at the kiln cars loading step in its brickworks. This supply has significantly changed the production management vision, due to the peculiarities that distinguish commissioning a robot instead of a traditional gripper with overhead crane. The considerable flexibility and very low maintenance in the use of robots led Rizam Holding to invest once again in 4.0 technology, entrusting the Italian company with the construction of a new unloading system completed with a packaging line for pallets, assisted by the use of additional three robots in handling the fired products.

The implementation of this new unloading and packaging line was carried out in collaboration with Rizam´s technicians, following all requests considering the high diversity of products manufactured using a single production line. In fact, production “moves” from hollows bricks to blocks and slabs and also to produce casebacks, which are difficult to be manufactured. The new line was put into operation in a record time: a month and a half for development and design, followed by two months for manufacturing and further two months for assembly and commissioning by highly specialized personnel, start-up and local operators training.
