Sacmi Supplies Alfanar

The Alfanar Group, one of Saudi Arabia’s biggest industrial concerns, has a specific division operating in the ceramic sector which has chosen Sacmi/IT to triple tile output over the coming months.

The machines needed to achieve that goal include an additional raw material batching system with two continuous mills of 88000 l capacity, for spray drying a ATM with a capacity of 18 000 l/h and for pressing 3 high productivity PH 3020 presses which serve two 5-layer 19,7-m driers. For the firing step two large FMS kilns – complete with JMS pre-kiln drier – each 153,3 m long are supplied. Additional items and accessories such as conveyors, filters, glaze preparation equipment and moulds have also been supplied (8/2011).
