Engineering Solutions for Ceramics from LIPPERT
Since 2018, the Schug family has held 100 % of the shares in LIPPERT (see cfi/Ber. DKG 96 [7–8] (2019) E 18–E 19). The company has been headquartered in the Upper Palatinate, Germany, for just under 70 years, and currently employs 370 people. Shortly after the takeover, the decision was taken to set up a
new facility in Eschenbach, not far from Pressath, to be able to expand in ceramics, automation as well as conveying and sorting. Previous plans in the Pressath/Döllnitz industrial estate had not been successful, which is why the Eschenbach site was realised in the second step. CTO Winfried Hein (WH) explained to us activities in the context of innovation and growth of the group
and how these are being pushed ahead even in the difficult times of COVID-19.
