Your Partner for High-temperature Technology

Since 1996, SCHUPP® Ceramics/DE has been producing and supplying cost-efficient yet high-quality metal-ceramic solutions for laboratory and industrial furnaces with application temperatures of up to 1850 °C. For nearly 30 years, the company has been meeting the challenges of high-temperature technology.

The product portfolio includes components and materials for sintering and firing, heat treatment and melting. Key focus areas are thermal insulation made of polycrystalline mullite/alumina wool (PCW) in the form of UltraBoard insulation boards and ITM-Fibermax® blankets, MolyCom molybdenum disilicide (MoSi2) heating elements, MolyTec electrical heating systems (MoSi2 + PCW), Process Temperature Control Rings (PTCR), and FiberPlast ceramic high-temperature adhesives for fiber insulation.

In 2026, SCHUPP® Ceramics celebrates its 30th anniversary – three decades of experience, innovation and passion for high-temperature technology.
The company began in 1996 as a pure trading business. In the early years, a long-term partner in firing-process control was acquired. Today, SCHUPP® Ceramics supplies Process Temperature Control Rings (PTCR), which are used worldwide for monitoring, quality assurance and documentation of sintering, firing and heat-treatment processes.

Later, production capacities for high-temperature adhesives and heating elements were established at the company’s site in Aachen. In addition, technical and economic solutions were developed at an early stage together with leading Japanese production partners, enabling the supply of furnace linings, vacuum-formed insulation parts and heating systems for demanding special applications.

A key milestone in increasing vertical integration was achieved in early 2018 with the commissioning of an in-house vacuum-forming plant in Aachen. PCW boards and formed parts produced there are marketed under the names UltraBoard and UltraVac. This expansion allows SCHUPP® Ceramics to meet growing market demands for more complex geometries and higher quality standards. Local production of PCW components also enables greater flexibility and shorter delivery times.
SCHUPP® Ceramics provides comprehensive services for the replacement and modernization of electric heating elements, insulation materials and complete furnace sets. As improving energy efficiency in high-temperature processes continues to be a key topic in industry, the company sees additional fields of application and diversification potential – especially with UltraVac formed parts made of polycrystalline mullite/alumina wool (PCW).

At ceramitec 2026, SCHUPP® Ceramics will exclusively present new PCW board qualities. It can already be revealed that this new board is based on polycrystalline mullite/alumina wool (PCW) and designed for applications up to 1400 °C.

SCHUPP® Ceramics looks forward to welcoming visitors at ceramitec 2026, Hall A5, Booth 431.
