Business Unit MSR of KELLER HCW Celebrates 50th Anniversary

It was in 1954 when KELLER founded its sister company KELLER Spezialtechnik which developed and manufactured measuring and control technology for dryers. In 1967, KELLER Spezialtechnik acquired a majority of the shares of Pyro-Werk in Hanover, a company that had been producing pyrometers for non-contact temperature measurements since 1925.

This date of acquisition is since then regarded as the date KELLER MSR came into being though it took until 1990 before this business unit was renamed MSR. In addition to the systematic development and the worldwide sale of pyrometers, MSR also established its own automation department. The focus of this department lies on control system for grain mills and compound feed plants, but also on control systems for a large variety of other plants in the bulk materials industry. Both in the units IAS (Intelligent Automation Solutions) and ITS (Intelligent Automation Solutions), KELLER MSR has meanwhile become a constantly growing global player. A new business unit was added in autumn 2016 to widen the field of non-contact temperature measurements with the creation of the label ICS (Infrared Camera Solutions) dedicated to the sale of high-end infrared cameras of the company Workswell on the German market.
