ic-cmtp2 – International Conference in Miskolc-Lillafüred, Hungary

ic-cmtp2 – The 2nd International Conference on Competitive Materials and Technology Processes was held in 8–12 October 2012 in the Miskolc-Lillafüred/HU.

The aims of the conference  were to promote new methods and results of scientific research; to change information between the fundamental theoretical and applied sciences as well as technical and technological implementations; and to promote the communication between the scientists. Among the major fields of interest were materials with extreme physical, chemical, biological, medical, thermal, mechanical properties and dynamic strength; including their crystalline and nano structures, phase transformation as well as methods of their technological processes, tests and measurements. Multidisciplinary applications of materials science and technological problems encountered in sectors like metals, ceramics, glasses, thin films, aerospace, automotive and marine industries, electronics, energy, construction materials, medicine, bio, and environmental sciences. There were received more than 250 contributions from 36 countries; 185 contributions were finally presented. Together with joint authors in the 15 sessions of ic-cmtp2 have participated more than 500 scientists and there were presented 9 plenary, 108 oral and 68 short oral lectures. Thanking to the very good organization work of Prof. Dr Tohru Sekino (Tohoku University Sendai/JP), Prof. Dr Sergey N. Kulkov (Tomsk State University/RU), Prof. Dr Michael Scheffler (Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg/DE) and Prof. Dr Philippe Blanchart (ENSCI, Limogues University/FR) more than half of participants have arrived from Japan, Asian part of Russia, China, Korea, Taiwan, India, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Tadzhikistan and Azerbaijan. Thanking also to Dipl.-Ing. Rosemarie Vocht-Mields and to the scientific journals refractory WORLDFORUM and to cfi – ceramic forum international the largest delegations from European countries have arrived from Germany, Latvia, Romania, Russia, Poland, Portugal, Finland and Lithuania.
