MosBuild Becomes Part of International Building and Finishing Materials Brand WorldBuild
MosBuild, Russia’s largest international exhibition of building and finishing materials, took place from 5–8 April 2016 at Moscow’s Expocentre. Over 22 years, MosBuild has become Russia’s largest exhibition of building and finishing materials and has received well-deserved recognition from exhibitors and visitors.
In the current economic situation when many companies are assessing their advertising and promotional expenses more pragmatically, good quality exhibitions remain in demand, as they are the most effective tool for increasing the volume and expanding the geography of sales. Exhibitors at events such as MosBuild get, primarily, the opportunity to make direct contact with a quality audience of business visitors interested in purchasing building and finishing materials. In 2016, over 4 days, MosBuild exhibitors offered their products to thousands of visitors from 80 regions of Russia: professionals involved in constructing and applying the finishes to buildings, the wholesale and retail trade, and interior design. Visitors to MosBuild 2016 learnt about the wide range of modern building and finishing materials presented at more than 1100 stands. As well as traditional materials, new developments from Russian and international manufacturers such as pigmented and translucent concrete, foam glass insulation, heavy duty reinforcing bars from compound materials that don’t cause radio interference, heated and air purifying flooring, wooden paving slabs, lightweight façades that increase buildings’ load-bearing capacities by 70 %, heated street benches and much more will be available. For most MosBuild exhibitors, buyers from DIY retail chains are of particular interest (retail chains offering goods for self-building and DIY work). To improve the efficiency of exhibitors making contact with this type of visitor, DIY discussion sessions have been organised. Other events held at MosBuild included master classes with leading Russian and international architects and interior designers and the design competition. The winners were awarded prizes by a professional jury consisting of the writers of television programmes Kvartirniy Vopros and Dachniy Otvet and representatives of communications agency ArchDialog. Another important move for MosBuild was that this year it has become part of WorldBuild, the largest international portfolio of building and finishing materials exhibitions. WorldBuild includes more than 20 exhibitions in various countries and regions representing promising sales markets for building products.
