News from BMR

BMR supplied a range of Italian tiles manufacturers with new production plants e.g. Ceramica Fondovalle, ABK Group, Marazzi Group, Ceramiche Piemme, Gardenia Orchidea, Emilceramica, Ceramica Castelvetro and Cotto Tuscania.

In 2013, Ceramica Fondovalle invested in a complete lapping, cutting and squaring line for formats up to 1200 mm x 1200 mm. Over the last few months, the new line was extended with a second cutting and grinding line for large slabs of up to 1200 mm x 2400 mm. The ABK Group completed the conversion of its plant located in Finale Emilia which has been adapted for the production of large formats, both for Auto-levelling® porcelain stoneware and for exclusive ceramic wall covering. ABK has installed an entirely new
line based on dry grinding of porcelain tiles – the new system was presented at Tecnargilla 2014. BMR continues its strong relationship with the Marazzi Group which ordered 5 new lines assigned for the production facilities in Fiorano and Casiglie. Marazzi also invested in two complete and innovative cutting and squaring lines which are already in operation at their sites in America. Ceramiche Piemme’s decision to increase its production capacity for lapped and ground products has prompted them to invest in a third lapping and grinding
line from BMR. It was installed last August and is already operational. Gardenia Orchidea installed two cutting and grinding lines equipped with the innovative Dry Cut system for the production of ceramic strips and large formats. Emilceramica expanded its existing productin equipment by a complete new lapping line for large formats which has been completed with the latest generation Dry Cut cutting-splitting system. Finally, Ceramica Castelvetro and Cotto Tuscania started in-house production by installing and modernizing their facilities applying BMR machinery. Cotto Tuscania was supplied with a disc cutting and grinding line, whilst Ceramica Castelvetro installed a complete squaring line including the latest generation Dry Cut cutting-splitting equipment.
