The CERINNOV Group Buys out Assests of WISTRA France and WISTRA Germany

In order to increase its area of competence, the CERINNOV Group/FR, specialized in the manufacturing of production and decoration equipment for the ceramic and glass industries, is continuing its external growth with the buyout of one part of the activities of WISTRA France and WISTRA Germany, i.e. the manufacturing of kilns for the technical and traditional ceramics markets.

The production of kilns for the automotive industry remains in the PLC Holding. The CERINNOV Group is born in 2008 from the merger of ELMECERAM (manufacturer of machines for ceramics, founded in 1975) and CERLASE (specialized in the laser/material interaction and owner of a laser sintering patent, founded in 1998). CERINNOV is specialist of innovative solutions for the manufacturing of production equipment and remains at the forefront of technological progress by a constant investment in innovation. CERINNOV is one of the leaders on its market and works with many customers throughout the world thanks to an important network of salesmen and agents. Since 2010, and its first ceramic turnkey plant in Uzbekistan, CERINNOV is involved in many other projects of this kind. At the moment, the company is starting the installation of a new porcelain turnkey plant in Russia and should sign three new projects by the end of the year. The buyout of WISTRA, a leading manufacturer of thermal equipment and full service provider to the technical and traditional ceramics markets, opens news opportunities. Indeed, it will enable CERINNOV to propose an even bigger offer to its clients and to become a strong actor in the development of turnkey plants in traditional ceramics. Last year, CERLASE and CERINNOV made a turnover of EUR 5 million and the target is to double this figure in 2013. The objective for the whole group, including WISTRA France and WISTRA GmbH, is to achieve a turnover of EUR 15–20 million in 2014. In terms of staff, 17 people from WISTRA France and 6 people from WISTRA GmbH joined the CERINNOV Group. (8/2013)
