Ceramic Injection Moulding (CIM) Expert Group

The Ceramic Injection Moulding Expert Group within the German Ceramic Society (DKG) defines itself as a network of companies and institutes, its goal being the innovative development of the entire process chain of ceramic injection moulding (Fig. 1). It currently includes 13 members (ten companies and three
institutes). Qualification for membership depends on the entire technology chain of ceramic injection moulding (injection moulding, debinding, sintering) being represented within the enterprise or organization. German and European companies can become members. The Chairman of the Expert Group, Dr Tassilo Moritz (TM), from the Fraunhofer Institute for Ceramic Technologies and Systems (IKTS) in Dresden/DE, spoke to us about the Group’s activities and focus.
